January was an exciting time for the 2016 YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award committee. Discussing books with a group of thoughtful readers was a mind- expanding experience. It reinforced the concept that reading a book is a personal experience. Things that you may not notice have significance for another reader. Group discussions were filled with aha moments for me. Sharing and discussing books adds to their value.
Here’s to reading and sharing!
